Sept 30 (Reuters) – Pennsylvania health officials on Wednesday reported the state’s fifth measles-associated death this year as the outbreak continued to spread.
An unvaccinated person in Lancaster County has died after getting measles, Pennsylvania health officials said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health earlier in the day confirmed 943 measles cases across 39 counties in 2026.
The US Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
