Sheriff’s Office says social media leads helped find a prowler

PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office is crediting social media leads for helping to identify a person seen prowling on private property earlier this week. 

Officials with the department posted surveillance video showing the man who had been seen on at least 2 different properties in the areas of Evans Mill and Parks School Roads. 

Officials say the suspect was quickly identified by followers of their social media pages.
