PEORIA, Ill. -Road construction throughout Peoria is prompting more road closures.
The intersection of S. Faraday Avenue and W. Humboldt Street will be closed to all traffic starting Friday.
Peoria Public Works says they expect the intersection to reopen in about 8 weeks, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for pavement removal, which is part of the Combined Sewer Overflow Year 4 Control Project.
During the construction, South Faraday Avenue thru traffic should use South Easton Avenue, and West Humboldt Street thru traffic should use West Hayes Street.
