PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has been sentenced to federal prison on drug and weapons charges.
28-year-old Detrey Robinson received a term of 81 months yesterday Wednesday by Judge James Shadid, followed by three years of supervised release.
In November, Robinson pleaded guilty to counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Machine Gun, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.
Robinson was arrested on June 22nd last year at his residence by the Peoria Police SWAT team and the Peoria Area Federal Firearm Task Force.
Prosecutors at the sentencing hearing say during a search of his home, officers reportedly found a loaded AR-15, a 5.56 caliber rifle, a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol, and a 9mm Glock pistol. The Glock was allegedly loaded and equipped with a high-capacity extended ammunition magazine, and equipped with an auto-sear.
Several drugs and drug-related items were also found in the house; such as cocaine, a scale, and more than 200 plastic baggies.
Robinson had been in custody since his arrest in June.
