MILAN (Reuters) – Stellantis is relying on airfreight to cope with temporary supply disruptions caused by international shifts in transport routes due to attacks on vessels in the Red Sea, a spokesperson for the carmaker said on Friday.
“Stellantis has taken appropriate measures to compensate for the temporary extension of some rerouted vessels by using some limited airfreight solutions,” the spokesperson said, replying to a request for a comment by Reuters.
The Franco-Italian group “has almost no impact on manufacturing to date”, the spokesperson added.
