PEKIN, Ill. — The 2020 parade portion of the Pekin Marigold Festival, which had been modified to a drive-thru event because of COVID, has been completely canceled.
From the event’s official Facebook page:
“Due to flooding on the parade route, heavy rains and poor visibility, we are cancelling the Taste of Marigold Parade. 100 parade packets will still be distributed through Festive Foods Drive Thru! ”
Additionally, the drive-in movie and chalk walk were still a go.
