CHICAGO, Ill. – Victims of violent crime could get help returning to work from the Illinois Attorney General.
It’s called “Rebound to Work” — and Kwame Raoul says it’s a series of webinars dealing with resume’ writing, interviewing skills, and other things he says will help those who have been traumatized enough.
“In many cases, (victims) have had their employment disrupted,” said Raoul. “…we can partner with both corporate as well as community partners to help respond to this very common need among crime victims.”
Raul says a number of corporate partners have signed on to participate.
Once the victims go through the webinars, he says businesses and victim advocacy groups will provide individual coaching and help with reviewing job opportunities.
“The corporate partners will engage in skill development — whether it’s interviewing skills, resume’ writing skills, identifying positions that are open for crime survivors to be able to apply for, preparing for interviews, and so forth,” said Raoul.
