BARTONVILLE, Ill. — Just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning a Bartonville police officer saw three cars actively shooting at each other in the 900 block of McKinley Ave.
The officer followed one of the cars involved when they started fleeing the scene. The officer did not pursue and returned to the scene of the shooting.
At the scene, multiple shell casings were found along with two unoccupied vehicles that were struck by stray bullets.
The Peoria Police Department located two of the involved vehicles and were processed by the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators (CSI).
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
