SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 7,899 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, breaking the previous record of 6,943.
Illinois’ total number of coronavirus cases now stands at 410,300.
State health officials also reported 46 new COVID deaths, bringing the state total to 9,757.
Between Friday and Saturday, 92,636 tests were conducted.
Illinois’ seven-day rolling positivity rate sits at 7.5%.
As of Saturday, 3,228 individuals were hospitalized with COVID. 680 patients were in intensive care, with 290 on ventilators.
