CHILLICOTHE, Ill. — A pop-up COVID-19 testing site, scheduled to be held in Chillicothe at the end of the month, is being moved.
The Peoria City/County Health Department said on Tuesday that the state-sponsored community testing Oct. 28, 29 and 30, will be held at Shore Acres Park instead of the Chillicothe Public Library.
Drive-through and walk-up COVID-19 tests will be administered from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Testing is free, but residents are asked to bring an insurance card if available. You do not have to be sick to get tested.
Nasal swabs will be used and results are expected in four to seven days.
“Remember also to stay at home while waiting test results; if you are positive, you don’t want to spread COVID-19 to others,” said Monica Hendrickson, administrator for the PCCHD.
