PEORIA, Ill. — A woman was found dead in her home Monday morning in the 2300 block of W. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.
Peoria Police Detectives received a tip regarding a deceased person inside of the residence and entered the home at approximately 9:48 a.m.
Police then located an adult female who appeared to have been deceased for a significant amount of time.
A search warrant was executed at the address upon discovery of the body, according to Public Information Officer Amy Dotson.
Dotson said foul play does not appear to be a factor at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
