Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the victim as 28-year-old Donald Allen of Peoria.
Harwood said Allen sustained a single gunshot wound to his head.
He was officially pronounced dead Sunday at 8:40 A.M.
The police department as of Monday afternoon had not identified any suspects.

The Peoria Police Department said it is investigating the incident as the City’s ninth homicide of 2020.

PEORIA, Ill. — A Saturday night shooting victim was clinging to life Sunday morning following an incident on Peoria’s south side.
Peoria Police and Fire Department Paramedics answered a call around 11:15 on a ShotSpotter alert of four rounds fired in the 1500 block of S. Faraday.
Battalion Chief Stephen Rada said the adult male victim they found was unresponsive.
Life-saving efforts kept the man alive and he was taken to a hospital with injuries deemed to be life-threatening.
Peoria Police Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said there was no suspect information immediately available.
