PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Public Library’s North and Lakeview branches are closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The Library’s Executive Director Randall Yelverton said both branches will remain closed for cleaning and further COVID test results of library staff.
Three Peoria Public Library locations remain open — Main Library, McClure and Lincoln. Curbside pickup services are also available at those locations.
Yelverton said library staff and all patrons must continue to wear masks at all times and maintain social distancing of at least six-feet.
While no one at Lakeview Branch has tested positive, an employee from North Branch has been working there. It was not the employee who tested positive, according to Yelverton.
