PEORIA, Ill. — With no new deaths to report, 71 new positive COVID-19 tests highlighted Tuesday’s report from the Peoria City/County Health Department.
36 of the cases were Tazewell County residents, 31 of the cases were from Peoria County, and the other four were attributed to Woodford County.
The area’s recovery rate reached 80.9%. This marked the first time that metric surpassed 80% since Jul. 2.
55 people were in area hospitals with the virus. 23 of them were in intensive care.
