PEORIA, Ill. — Celebrations surrounding the Peoria Rivermen’s third SPHL title continue in downtown Peoria this afternoon with a planned parade, aimed at reveling in the home team’s success one more time.
The Rivermen beat the Roanoke Rail Yard Dogs 3 games to 1 in the best of five SPHL President’s Cup Series.
Starting around 4:15 p.m. today, a victory parade for fans and residents will step off near the Gateway Building at the downtown waterfront.
It will come up Hamilton Boulevard and then turn on Southwest Jefferson Street and then end at the Peoria Civic Center.
