PEORIA, Ill. — Bradley University President Stephen Standifird Wednesday evening provided an update on the campus quarantine.
Standifird highlighted the enforcement efforts of the university, saying they have issued 10 written warnings in the last week.
In addition, Bradley has issued 11 $250 fines, has three pending situations where students may be banned from campus and one pending situation where a student may be suspended for the remainder of the academic year.
According to Standifird, some of the behaviors that led to disciplinary action include lack of physical distancing, mask-wearing violations, leaving campus for non-essential errands (including visiting bars) and having guests in their rooms, apartments or off-campus residences.
“We will continue to monitor behaviors, respond to non-compliant complaints, and, to be clear, we will take corrective action as needed,” said Standifird.
As of Sept. 15, Bradley has had over 250 total COVID-19 positive cases since Aug 24.
