PEORIA, Ill. – Details are being released about an accident that happened early Saturday morning in Peoria and killed a passenger.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says the rollover crash happened around 1:45 a.m. April 23 on North Western Avenue, in the West Bluff neighborhood but near West Peoria.
A passenger, Aiden Campbell of East Peoria, 19, was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
He was pronounced dead Monday evening, and an autopsy indicates severe blunt force head and chest trauma caused the death.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. An accident report from Peoria Police is so far unavailable.
