MORTON, Ill. — Morton School District 709’s weekly COVID-19 update showed fewer students tested positive this week for the coronavirus, but there’s an increase in the number of kids quarantined due to possible exposure to the virus.
The district says eight students have tested positive, seven of them at Morton Community High School. That’s a drop from 12 cases a week ago.
Two Morton school staffers have also tested positive. 10 staff members are home in quarantine.
Morton Dist. 709 continues to work with the Tazewell County Health Department regarding all COVID-19 cases.
