PEORIA, Ill. — Tazewell County had the highest amount of new COVID-19 cases in the tri-county during the Wednesday-to-Thursday reporting period, according to the Peoria City/County Health Department.
The county had 26 cases, compared to 15 for Peoria and three for Woodford.
The amount of people in local hospitals saw a slight decrease, from 48 to 45. 14 of the hospital cases were intensive care-level.
For the first time in a while, the area’s recovery rate rose above 70%, to 71.3%.
Home isolation dropped to 25.8%.
