PEORIA, Ill. — Bring us your old, used tires.
Peoria’s “Tireless Project” was started four years ago as a way to solve the issue of illegally dumped and abandoned tires in the community.
This month’s tire collection is being held this Saturday (8/22) from 9-11 a.m, or until 1,000 tires are collected. At that point, the collection will be shut down.
“You are allowed 10 tires free of charge, and any tire over 10 is a dollar per tire,” the project’s James Kosner .
Volunteers will be collecting tires at JIMAX, at 2000 W. Clark Street.
The “Tireless Project” will continue the last Saturday of the month through October. For more information, click HERE.
