Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the driver as 16-year-old Aaron Miller.
Harwood said Miller died exclusively of blunt force trauma injuries, meaning the fire did not play a role in Miller’s death.

BRIMFIELD, Ill. — Peoria County Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday to a single-vehicle rollover accident near Brimfield, on U.S. Highway 150 at Thousand Dollar Road.
Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell said upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle off the south side of the highway, fully engulfed in flames.
After the fire was extinguished, the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Peoria County coroner.
The incident remains under investigation. Further information regarding the identity of the driver will be released by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.
