PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of S. Oregon.
Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said seven shots were fired.
“Officers a male victim with a gunshot wound to the ankle. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” Dotson said.
Police did not have any information on suspects. The incident remains under investigation.
