PEORIA, Ill. — Storms that moved through the Peoria metro area Monday afternoon knocked out power for thousands of Ameren Illinois customers.
As of 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, 3,538 customers in Peoria County, 784 in Tazwell County and 153 in Woodford County were still in the dark.
“The problem with having so many small outages locally, is that those outages are going to be repaired at different times. So, there’s no way to give a blanket estimated time for restoration,” said Ameren Illinois’ Stacy Shangraw.
