SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois as a state had 1,471 new cases of COVID-19 from Monday to Tuesday, to go along with 19 deaths.
One piece of good news: the state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate, which has seen a rapid rise in recent weeks, ticked back downward to 3.9% after hitting the 4% mark.
1,496 people were in Illinois hospitals as of Sunday night with the virus. 365 patients were in intensive care.
125 ventilators were being used for COVID purposes.
