PEORIA, Ill. — A high level drug pusher who operated around Peoria and Bloomington will now spend more than a decade in federal prison.
It’s the announcement from U.S. Attorneys for the Central District of Illinois on Friday
Demarco Washington, 43, from Peoria, will also serve 8 years of supervised release after his 144 month prison term.
At the sentencting hearing, U.S. District Judge James E. Shadid found that Washington was responsible for distributing more than 2.3 kilograms of ice methamphetamine across Peoria, Pekin and Bloomington.
According to a news release, Washington was indicted in April 2021. He entered a plea of guilty in November 2021. He has remained in the custody of the U.S. Marshals since his arrest.
