PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called to the area of NE Perry and Wayne just after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple shots were fired.
No victim was found at the scene, but detectives identified 25-year-old Ernesto Tello as a suspect after he was located and arrested on S. Warren.
Tello was subsequently charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Tello is being held at the Peoria County Jail.
PPD said there are no other suspects involved, but the incident remains under investigation.
