PEORIA, Ill. — Arson appears to be the cause of a Peoria fire Sunday morning.
Fire crews responded just after 5 a.m. to a home in the 1100 block of W. Thrush, finding the exterior of the home on fire.
Occupants of the home got out safely before crews arrived on the scene.
A male resident sustained minor injuries trying to put out the fire. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
A fire investigator said the fire was intentionally set.
Damage is estimated at $5,500.
