* Until 900 AM CDT Thursday.
* At 903 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding from heavy
rain from earlier thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts as high as 8
inches have been reported. Much of the warned area received 3 to 7
inches of rain this afternoon, leading to numerous flooded
roadways and creeks.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Peoria, Pekin, Eureka, Normal, East Peoria, Morton, Washington,
Bartonville, Chillicothe, Creve Coeur, West Peoria, Metamora,
Germantown Hills, Marquette Heights, El Paso, Tremont, Minonk,
Roanoke, Bellevue and Mackinaw.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 155 between mile markers 11 and 31.
Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 28.
Interstate 474 between mile markers 0 and 14.
Interstate 55 between mile markers 162 and 165, and near mile marker
184.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 85 and 129.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
