PEORIA, Ill. — There’s potential for severe storms to move into the Peoria metro area Wednesday evening.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said the main threat will be between 4-8 p.m. as a cold front pushes through the area.
“Isolated tornadoes are possible along with damaging winds, large hail and locally heavy rain,” Collins said.
The next big weather story will be the return of highs in the mid to upper 90s late this week through the weekend with heat indices of 105 degrees.
With heavy rains comes the possibility of isolated flash flooding as well.
