PEORIA, Ill. — Though tornadoes aren’t likely, there is a threat of severe storms for the Peoria area Thursday evening.
News Partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said although the metro area will see scattered storms Thursday afternoon, the main severe weather threat will be Thursday between 6-9 p.m.
“Large hail, damaging winds and locally heavy down pours are possible. We need the rain, but not the storms,” Collins said.
Peoria is running a 3-inch rainfall deficit since June 1.
