SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois’s rolling seven-day positivity rate for COVID-19 has decreased slightly.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said the rate declined marginally, from 2.6% to 2.5%, from Monday to Tuesday.
The data came amid a report of 587 newly-confirmed cases and 37 additional deaths.
In total, 148,452 Illinoisans have contracted coronavirus. 7,063 have died from it.
1,385 people across the state were in hospitals with confirmed cases. 320 of them were in intensive care units, while 153 were using ventilators.
1,809,834 tests have been administered since the start of the pandemic.
