PEORIA, Ill. — A man wanted in connection with a recent shooting was arrested Tuesday night in Peoria.
Peoria Police said Tre-Sean Dillard, 24, was seen leaving a home on W. Carmel as police were conducting surveillance at 6:30 p.m.
A loaded, stolen handgun was found after Dillard was taken into custody during a traffic stop.
Dillard was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, No FOID, possession of a stolen handgun, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, aggravated discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property.
PPD spokesperson Semone Roth said the shooting incident happened Sunday around 10:30 p.m.
Dillard allegedly saw his ex-girlfriend in a vehicle with another person and fired a shot into the vehicle.
The woman suffered a graze wound, but refused to file charges.
