SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois remained below 1,000 newly-reported positive COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour period, as the Department of Public Health on Wednesday reported 828.
There were 30 new deaths, however.
The IDPH said there have been 144,013 cases since the pandemic began, with 6,951 deaths.
33,090 specimens were taken at labs across the state between Tuesday and Wednesday, as the state government’s goal of 30,000 tests per day continues to appear as though it’s been reached.
The rolling seven-day positivity rate stood at 2.6%.
