PEORIA, Ill. — The area’s positive COVID-19 case count rose Wednesday to 666, an increase of 18 from Tuesday.
Peoria County could hit the 500 mark by the end of the week, as the county’s total increased to 497.
Tazewell’s total went up to 135, while Woodford still had 34.
No COVID-related deaths occurred in the tri-county over the Tuesday-to-Wednesday 24-hour reporting period.
The area’s overall recovery rate dipped below 80% once again, to 79.4%.
13.4% of current cases were in home isolation, while 1.5% were in area hospitals.
Two confirmed cases remained in intensive care units, while a total of 13 non-ICU beds were being taken up by COVID cases or possible COVID cases.
