SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — For the third consecutive day, Illinois has seen an increase from the day before in newly-reported COVID-19 cases.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said 894 coronavirus tests came back positive in the 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday.
31,686 specimens were taken during that time at labs statewide.
41 people across the state died from the virus during that period.
Since testing began, there have been 139,434 cases and 6,810 deaths.
The rolling seven-day positivity rate went back up to 3%.
All regions of the state have met the metrics to move Friday to phase four of Restore Illinois.
