PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria County reported two additional deaths Saturday related to COVID-19, a woman in her 70’s and a man in his 80’s.
Both were residents of University Rehab and had various health issues. The Peoria City/County Health Department reported that both residents had been hospitalized for two weeks.
The two deaths brings the total for Peoria County to 25, Tazewell is at 7, and Woodford holds steady at 2.
All three counties reported additional cases of COVID-19. Peoria reported 3 for a total of 421, Tazewell reported 2 for a total of 111, and Woodford reported 1 for a total of 33.
The local recovery rate slightly increased to 72.9%. Those at home isolating is 18.4%, and those hospitalized is 2.7%.
The number of ICU beds in use for virus patients decreased to two, one for a confirmed case and one under investigation.
There are 16 total non-ICU beds in use for COVID-19 patients.
