PEORIA, Ill. — 32-year-old Anthony Butler was taken into custody regarding a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning.
Peoria Police responded at 12:06 a.m. to the 3600 block of W. Hedgehill for a shooting victim. Officers located a female with a gunshot wound to the foot.
She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Public Information Officer Amy Dotson.
“Around 9:30 this (Tuesday) morning, detectives located Butler in the 3600 block of W. Hedgehill,” Dotson said.
Butler was taken to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes and arrested for multiple offenses.
He is charged with aggravated domestic battery, reckless discharge, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
“He was then transported to Peoria County Jail,” Dotson said.
