SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health on Saturday reported 673 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
It was the eighth straight day of fewer than 1,000 reported positive cases.
The state’s seven-day rolling positivity rate dropped to 3%. It had been 4% as of Friday.
Since testing began, there have been 131,871 cases throughout Illinois.
That number includes 6,289 deaths.
State labs took in 21,844 specimens from Friday to Saturday.
With 13 days to go before the earliest possible date for moving to phase four of Restore Illinois, all regions of the state were meeting the metrics to do so.
