CHICAGO, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health reported Friday 595 new cases of COVID-19.
The state continues on a downward trend with last day Illinois reported over 1,000 cases in one day was Friday June 5.
In the last 24 hours, 24,774 specimen were collected. The seven day positivity rate stands at 4%.
Since the pandemic began, Illinois has reported a total of 131,198 cases.
The IDPH also reported an additional 77 deaths, bringing the death total to 6,260.
