PEORIA, Ill. — A man is dead after an apparent Wednesday night homicide in Peoria’s West Bluff.
Peoria Police responded to the 1700 block of N. Bigelow St. just before 11:30 on a ShotSpotter alert of five rounds fired, as well as 9-1-1 calls regarding a shooting in the area.
Police found an adult male with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No suspect information was immediately available.
The case as of Thursday morning remained under investigation.
