SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — As Illinois continued its climb Tuesday to one million COVID-19 tests performed, the state’s recovery rate held steady.
934,704 tests have been performed since the pandemic began, and 92% of positive cases were considered to be fully recovered.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,614 new cases from Monday to Tuesday, to go along with 113 new deaths.
There’s been a total of 122,848 cases and 5,525 deaths.
The state’s seven-day rolling positivity rate was 7%.
