WASHINGTON D.C. — President Donald Trump announced Friday that America is terminating the relationship with the World Health Organization.
“And redirecting those funds to other worldwide and deserving urgent global public health needs,” Trump said.
The president also addressed the United State’s relationship with China.
“China’s pattern of misconduct is well known, for decades they ripped off the United States. Hundreds of billions of dollars were lost dealing with China,” Trump said.
Trump continued to say that China raided U.S factories, off-shored jobs, and gutted the industry.
“To make matters worse, they are considered a developing nation, getting all sorts of benefits that others including the United States are not entitled to,” Trump said.
The president said that China covered up the spread of the “Wuhan virus.”
“Instigating a global pandemic that has cost more than 100,000 American lives, and over one million lives worldwide,” Trump said.
The announcement will affect many aspects of the United State’s relationship with China.
“Our actions will be strong,” Trump said.
