SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Gov. J.B. Pritzker released industry specific guidelines for businesses to use as Illinois moves into phase three of the Restore Illinois Plan.
In phase three, businesses such as retail, offices, manufacturing, salons, summer programs, and outdoor recreational activities can resume, along with restaurants and bars operating with outdoor dining.
Illinois is set to move into phase three by Friday, May 29th, and Pritzker said opening these businesses will give 700,000 citizens their jobs back and will help get the economy back on track.
There will be requirements for these businesses to operate such as maintaining social distancing, wearing face coverings, and informational signs posted in the workplace.
Also included in phase three of the Restore Illinois plan, is small groups of 10 people or fewer can gather and select sports can have participation. Outdoor activities where social distancing can be maintained such as camping and boating will be in the clear.
Residents are still encouraged to use face coverings, follow social distancing, sanitize surfaces, and wash their hands frequently.
