PEORIA, Ill. — Thunderstorms will move into the Peoria region Saturday afternoon.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said the thunderstorms will develop after 1:00 p.m.
“Although it’s not a widespread severe weather situation, a few cells may go severe with an isolated tornado, localized damaging winds and hail, especially north of I-74,” Collins said.
The warm front that will cause the storms on Saturday will move north of the area overnight and leave warm humid air behind for Sunday with highs in the upper 80’s.
