PEORIA, Ill. — A man is in serious condition Monday night after a shooting in Peoria.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said just after 4:00 p.m. police received a ShotSpotter alert of three rounds fired in the 200 block of Republic.
“Upon arrival, officers located a male gunshot victim with a wound to the chest in the 2100 block of N. Linn,” Dotson said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
There was no information regarding suspect descriptions.
The incident remains under investigation.
