BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Plans to open a drive thru COVID-19 testing site at the Peoria Civic Center parking lot are on hold.
State officials said Wednesday that moving the site from the Interstate Center in Bloomington to the River City would be delayed approximately a week.
State Rep. Dan Brady negotiated with Gov. J-B Pritzker to keep McLean County’s testing site in Bloomington open a bit longer, in hopes other local testing options will become available.
The McLean County Health Department said the Interstate Center testing site will remain open from 9-5 each day through Friday, May 22.
