PEORIA, Ill. — Dr. Gregg Stoner with Heartland Health Services announced that Peoria testing sites will be open to test all adults beginning Friday, including those with no symptoms.
“When you look at Gov. Pritzker’s stages of development of opening up the state, that’s one of the stages that has to be achieved, level three, and that is opening up testing to all individuals,” Stoner said.
Four new cases of COVID-19 were announced at the Peoria City/County Health Department’s daily briefing on Thursday, bringing the Tri-County region to 199 total positive cases of COVID-19. Two new cases are from Peoria County, and two from Tazewell County.
The total number of confirmed cases in Peoria County is 130, Tazewell has 54, and Woodford has 15.
Stoner said that over half of the Tri-County cases are recovered.
“61% of the Tri-County cases are recovered, 26% of the Tri-County cases are at home isolating, and 9% of Tri-County cases are hospitalized,” Stoner said.
