PEORIA, Ill. — Severe weather could roll into the Peoria area late Tuesday afternoon and continue into the evening hours.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said sunshine, strong southwest winds and highs in the mid-seventies will prime the atmosphere ahead of a strong cold front Tuesday.
“There’s a possibility of isolated tornadoes, damaging winds of sixty to seventy miles per hour, large hail and locally heavy rain between 5 and 9 p.m.”
Collins said behind the storm system are chilly temperatures in the mid fifties with rain and wind Wednesday.
