PEORIA, Ill. – After a career of 25 years with Peoria Public Schools, Brett Elliott announced that he has taken the Superintendent position with the Stark County school district.
The announcement was made Monday night.
According to the Stark County CUSD website, Mr. Elliott began his career as a teacher, coach, and assistant principal at Roosevelt Magnet School. He completed his undergraduate degree at Eureka College and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Bradley University.
Brett earned his superintendent certification from Western Illinois University in 2017.
He plans to complete his doctorate in 2021.
Mr. Elliott spent the last four years as Principal at Richwoods High School.
In a tweet, Elliot thanked Richwoods High School for the memories and Stark County for the opportunity.

The position at Stark County will be effective on July 1, 2020.
Carly Emken, principal of Glen Oak Community Learning Center, will be taking over Elliott’s position at Richwoods.
