EAST PEORIA, Ill. – An East Peoria man who was the transportation director for the high school there is facing felony sex charges.
Our news partner 25 News reports Shawn Dasgupta, 40, was arrested December 15th. He’s charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child, and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.
Court records seem to indicate the alleged incidents took place in 2013 and 2016.
Dasgupta is jailed on $125,000 bond and will be formally arraigned Thursday afternoon.
The East Peoria Community High School District says Dasgupta no longer works there, and an interim transportation director has been named.
